I don’t know, it say’s in the (skimpy) manual, that the micro USB is for data only, not charging.
At any rate, the adapter finally showed up last Saturday.

I’d be willing to bet that if you picked up a cheapy micro-USB cable and plugged it into your computer it would charge the xoom.

I believe it’s a micro USB. It’s the same width and shape as my camera USB, but only about half as thick. I haven’t had a chance to play with it yet, and it didn’t come with much of a manual. So I’m still waiting for the power cord so I can fire it up and learn more about it.
(It came with some sort of European power cord)
