This is Awesome!

Go check out Van Canto right now,  you won’t believe your ears.

Canadian oddness

From PapaTodd.com I learn that,

Canada’s Broadcast Standards Council has banned “Money For Nothing,” a 25-year old song by Dire Straits.  In its supreme wisdom, the Council has decided that the song’s lyrics are unacceptable for sensitive Canadian ears because the word “faggot” is used repeatedly.

Gee,  I hope they’ve figured out how to block American radio stations brodcasting across the border.  I’m also hoping for a big boost in sales for the Dire Strait’s CD,  oh yeah,  and you can hear the song at either of the above links,  and buy a copy of the CD at Amazon for a couple of bucks.   The Dream Police, are getting into my head!

peoplesearch

Since I don’t do a lot of searching for people,  it appears that I’m somewhat out of touch with current internet people searching sites.

I been made aware of  another one,  again for payment,  you can obtain tons of what I consider private information about nearly anyone.

Like www.spokeo.com,  is www.peoplesearch.com.   I’m now convinced that there are many more,  and privacy will continue to be  thing of the past.  Even if one has never used the internet,  or a cell phone,  these things will search you out and for a small fee, bare tons of your private information to anyone willing to pay for it,  and draw a map of how to find you.

Kind of like the book 1984,  except it’s not just the government doing it.

“SoFtTape” the band

As per request by Brigid,  I would like to present SoFtTape’s 1st album cover.

I perceive SoftTape to be a slightly softer version of

the Flogging Molly’s.

P.S. You’ve got the album cover,  but don’t get to excited about waiting for the album.  :-)

WEB SITE VIRUS

NOTE:  Apparently the problem has been fixed.  I can get clean web pages there now.

USE CAUTION

The Impact Guns web site apparently has been corrupted .  If I go there,  my virus scanner immediately throws up 3 separate virus alerts.   I’m currently using AVG anti-virus.   Use great caution if you decide to go to www.impactguns.com.
