American Hunters and Shooter Association

I recently read reference to the American Hunters and Shooters Association (AHSA), as having close political ties to numbers of Anti-gunners.   That they are a coldly calculated political maneuver, designed precisely to attack the NRA.  Also called a Liberal plan to take over the NRA!!!

Being of an enquirying mind,  I went to their web site.  On their web site,  I found a link,

See what hunters and shooters say about the NRA’s attacks on the AHSA.

Then I went to Wiki-pedia , and on to Digger’s Corner.

At “see what hunters and shooters say“,  I found reference to the AHSA’s close ties to the Sierra Club!!!  (now there’s an “anti” group for you!)  Anyone associated with the Seirra Club is not a friend of gun owners.

At “Wiki“,  I learned some of the AHSA’s links to anti-gunners.

At “Digger’s”  I learned that;

“John Rosenthal is listed as President of the AHSA Foundation. Rosenthal is one of the founders of the Massachusetts based group Stop Handgun Violence, a group that has been a major force in passing some of the most draconian state gun laws in the nation.”

I think I’ve learned enough,  The American Hunter’s and Shooter’s Association,  appears to another dishonest attempt (by those who hate FREEDOM), to enter through the back door,  in the dead of night,  and STEAL OUR FREEDOM!!!

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The rest of the Bill of Rights can be found at Cornell Law School.

If your not a current member,  this might just be a good time to join the NRA!

Happy New Year,  and “Stick to your Guns” !! :-)

An Email for today

The following came to me via email today,  on the date of Saddam Hussein’s hanging. ~~GreyBeard

“”The lady who wrote this letter is Pam Foster of Pamela Foster and Associates in Atlanta . She’s been in business since 1980 doing interior design and home planning. She recently wrote a letter to a family member serving in Iraq …

“Are we fighting a war on terror or aren’t we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation’s capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn’t they?

And I’m supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was “desecrated” when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?

Well, I don’t. I don’t care at all.

I’ll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I’ll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia .

I’ll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg’s head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I’ll care when the cowardly so-called “insurgents” in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I’ll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I’ll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution’s Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don’t care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured that I don’t care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don’t care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed “special” food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being “mishandled,” you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don’t care.

And oh, by the way, I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s spelled “Koran” and other times “Quran.” Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and —- you guessed it – - I don’t care ! ! ! ! !

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your e-mail friends. Sooner or later, it’ll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don’t agree, then by all means hit the delete button.

Should you choose the latter, then please don’t complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great country.

I am not deleting this, I am sending it on, but only after

I add:

–”Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don’t have that problem.”

– Ronald Reagan

I have another quote that I would like to add AND…….

I hope you forward this such as I have.

“If we ever forget that we’re One Nation Under God,

then we will be a nation gone under.”

also by… Ronald Reagan”"

Random thought

This thought crossed my mind this morning, (now that’s a scary idea) while listening a little bit of Pres. Bush’s morning press conference.

Why is the Kennedy family so often referred to as America’s Royalty,  while that type of reference is never made about the Bush family?

Bush = Rich,  money coming from OIL

Kennedy = Rich,  money coming from Mob activities

Kennedy = polititions,  John, Robert, ,, Ted the dred

Bush = polititons, George, George Jr,  Jeb

Kennedy = 1 great First Lady

Bush = 2 great First Ladies

Ok,  I understand that a lot of people don’t like George Jr,  but a lot of people don’t like Ted either.  Myself,  I understand and am very thankful that the USA doesn’t have OR condon royalty.  I’m just wondering why the press core would paint the Kennedy’s as royalty,  while marking the Bush’s off as Cowboys.  (I’ll take a Cowboy over a Prince, any day)

I supposed I can mark it up as just another biased brush stroke of the popular press.  ;-)

The NRA’s blacklist of Anti-gunners

The list is long,  and you will surely find some hypocrites there.

http://www.nraila.org/Issues/FactSheets/Read.aspx?ID=15

And just to tick any of those people off,  should they be reading this, :-)

Here’s a link to the Tueller Drill,  How Close is to Close .

More Guns, Less Crime!

Food for thought:

*2005 FBI Crime data shows that violent crime was down 38 percent since 1991.

*Between 1991 and 2005  the number of privately owned guns rose by 70 Million!

*Washington DC,  with the nations strictist gun control laws, also has the nations highest MURDER RATE!

*Florida,  the leader in concealed carry  and Castle Doctine, has a murder rate 13 percent lower than the rest of the nation!  And their rate is currently 58 percent lower than their own murder rate back in 1986, before the states Right to Carry laws took affect!
