I recently heard a quote by Hillory Clinton stating that she was not a Lberal, that she is a Progressive Democrat. I tend to agree with her on that. I also tend to think that Obama falls/fails into the same mold, though maybe a little more extreme.
Obama and Hillory, in fact, most so called liberals fit very easily into this Progressive Democrat model. That puts them squarely in the follow group of very intelligent progressive statesmen of the past:
Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson,Woodrow Wilson, Fank Goodnow, John Dewey, Fredrich Jackson Turner, Theodore Roosevelt. Barak Obama and Hillory Clinton (fit right in).
In contrast to Franklin D. Roosevelt and his ideological successors, John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson, Ronald Reagan sought the restoration of limited government. Today, our choice is clear: Will we live by the principles of the American Founding, or by the values of the Progressives?
On January 15th in the White House, the President [Lyndon Johnson] told a group of citizens they were going to take all the money they thought was being unnecessarily spent, “take it from the haves and give it to the have-nots who need it so much.” When Karl Marx said this he put it:…“from each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” …
Woodrow Wilson stated that the Declaration of Independence would work fine if you took out the follow part:
“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Frank Goodnow stated that: “man has no natural rights, all rights are given and taken by the government”
Theodore Roosevelt said: “There are NO limits to the power of National government, Government should control, commerce, property rights, liberty, and Distribution of WEALTH”.
All of the above have at one time submitted that: “Communities of men are far superior to individuals” and that “Democracy and Socialism are basically the same thing.”
The above statements are historically true and very provable. I’d be interested to hear any comments as to why you think the above people are correct in their visions for this country.
