Repeal the Second Amendment?

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Yep,  as I expected.  This from the Chicago RAG called a newspaper.

As I mentioned before,  if you can’t live happily and peacefully under our Constitution and Bill of Rights,  (as authored,  no editing please),  why not just pack up and move somewhere where you can be happy?

One argument against the Second Amendment, (by said RAG) was the so-called “compelling dissent” by Justise John Paul Stevens,   (a liberal activist I presume).  Just think,  if the anti crowd could have gotten just one more Liberal Activist Judge  nominated to the Supreme Court,  things might have been very different today.   (It just might have gone down in history, as first day of the end of the United States of America)

Another argument,  was that the big Cities should have the right to make their own banning laws,  even if it defies the Constitution.  (A very dangerous road in my opinion)

The article stated that crime will multiply unbounded,  and that it fell dramatically after guns were banned.  (That would mean places like Washington D.C. and Chicago,  would have “UBER-CRIME”  since with the gun ban in place,  they already have some of the highest crime rates in the nation)

The Chicago Tribune is wrong,  Daly is wrong,  Hillary and Obama are wrong, Feinstein,  Schumer, and McCarthy AND this entire list are WRONG.  Typically,  if they can’t win by playing by the rules,  they just try to change the rules or deceitfully confuse the subject,  so they can make their own rules.

Please remember to VOTE!

The Second Amendment Lives!

And I hope,,  is stronger today.   Oddly enough,  the major news outlets,  don’t see the Supreme Courts ruling in the Heller case as major news.  Even though this ruling forever confirms the the right to keep and bear arms,  is a Constitionally decreed right,  a basic human right,  a right that cannot be denied,  by Federal government, State government,  Local government,   or any special interest group!!!   SOUNDS LIKE BIG NEWS TO ME!

But,  then,  I suppose if this ruling doesn’t become widely known,  if the citizens of this great nation are not aware that our Constitution and Bill of Rights have been upheld by our highest courts,  then,  those who wish to continue to squash those rights,  can continue to ply their evil trade,  at least to some extent.

You’ve got to give them that,,,  They never give up.   What ever it takes,  who ever must fall,  it’s their way or no way.

It brings to my mind, an old question.  If you can’t live, prosper, and be happy , living by the rules of our Constition and Bill of Rights,  why not move somewhere,  where you won’t be bound by, or protected by it?

What a Great Birthday Present, for the 4th of July! :-)

Can we Gloat a bit?

A basic Human Right

On election day,  Remember it was a 5 to 4 decision,  a squeaker!!!!!!!

A second amendment triumph

New Release:

““Today’s ruling by the Supreme Court should forever put to rest any contention that the right to keep and bear arms is not a fundamental, individual civil right,” said SAF founder Alan M. Gottlieb. “For six decades, anti-gun rights extremists have engaged in a monumental fraud that has been unfortunately perpetuated by activist judges who erroneously insisted that the right to keep and bear arms applies only to service in a militia.”"

A good day on the Bay

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

It was a little to Sunny and calm for the Walleye to be really hungry,  but we did manage to pull in 2.  A 16 incher and a 24 incher.  What a difference when they were placed side by side.  You’d have sworn that the 16 incher was illegal.  (limit size 15 inches).

We pulled Hot-n-Tots,  Double Downers, JLV Bladed Shad, JLV Fatty Shad, Reef Runners,  RockWalkers,  and a few other trolling baits,  plus the good ol’ crawler harnesses and a couple of different spoons.  A chartruse firetiger bladed 2 hooked crawler harness, on a 3 oz bottom bouncer,   brought in both , from directly behind the boat in 31 feet of water.  Both on the same rod,  with 15 minutes of each other.  Otherwise the 5 hr trip was a bust.   We never got a bite on the planer boards.  We logged about 14 miles round trip,  maybe 6 or 7 of trolling.

I suppose it could have gone a lot better,  but it was still a good day.

Big one for the day

Walleye plans for tomorrow?

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

It’s a bit on the windy side today,  with a lot of sun, but threatening thunderstorms.  Tomorrow sounds like  a better day.  We’re planning on it anyway.

Reading the fishing report for Saginaw Bay over at Lake-Link ,  charter Captain Mike Veine , say’s they’re biting like crazy.  Two charter’s a day,  10 keeper’s per hour!!   Captain Veine,  often takes his boat out,  right past our dock!  Being  -0- for 2 , maybe I should follow him :-) .

Anyway,  we’re prepped and ready if the weather co-operates.

Skunked!

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

We braved the threatening Thunderstorms and put in about 5 hours on the Bay yesterday.

Trolling plugs and crawler harnesses.   Typical for my luck when it comes to fishing,  we didn’t land a fish.   I could hear others on the radio,  talking about landing fish,  but we just couldn’t seem to find a school.  The storms threatened all day,  but never actually got started.  Oh well, I guess it was a nice day on the water.
