Same as it ever was

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

Back when I was a kid,  I remember stories of WWII.  I remember “talking heads” talking about how Japan or Germany would never try to invade America physically.

The reason being:  The invading soldiers would recieve fire from every bush,  behind every tree,  every rooftop,  etc, etc..   The American people just own to many guns!

The supposed plan by the evil powers,  would have been to take over our coasts and our shipping ports,  then gradually change the country by forced thought control,  until they could actually take us over completely.  Part of that take over,  would most assuredly have been to have collected all the privately owned guns,  since that’s how they started their evil dominations in the first place.  I never really heard stories of WWI,  but I’m sure the same attitude prevailed.

Today, thanks to our Second Amendment,

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

it’s still the same.  Yeah,  we own a lot of guns,  and we know how to shoot them, and we are FREE, so a direct assault is unthinkable.  Even if an invader could get by our military and our police,  the private citizen,  (the free citizen militia) would be there to fight a holding action, allowing our military to regroup.

The enemies of our country still have basically the same plan,  destroy/control our shipping and communication,  remove our arms and freedom,  then dominate or destroy us as a people.  The greatest hope that they have,  are the extreme liberals in our government.  With these misguided polititions as their tool,  the enemies can do all their work from within.

If our government can be changed:

  • To remove our freedoms
  • Remove our armament
  • Restrict our movement
  • to lower our standard of living
  • and us flood us with undocumented aliens

The enemy takeover,  and/or our destruction,  would be a piece of cake.  Once their changes were complete,  the enemies puppets could use our own miltary forces against us.

We can not let this type of attack succeed,  or even get a further foot hold.  VOTE!  But know the issues,  and think long and hard before you vote.  If all else fails,

Molon labe!

Dock’s in, gone fishing

Sunday, May 6th, 2007

Looks like the Lamprey  poison is wearing off in the river.  A few hours of trolling brought in two real nice Walleye,  and about half a dozen 18 to 22 in. Pike.

The 17 foot SmokerCraft Alaskan was the boat of the day,  and there’s plenty of water to dock it.  I’m still a bit worried about docking the Sea Ray this year though.  The way gas prices are going,  the old 40 horse Merc. on the Alaskan,  just might make it the main boat this season.

The wind was blowin’ pretty good today,  so the wave’s were a bit high to take the Alaskan out past the mouth of the river,   but there were quite a few bigger boats lined up out about a half mile or so.  So I’m guessing somebody’s getting Walleye or Perch out there.

Mini Au Gres River Report

Sunday, May 6th, 2007

A few days ago the DNR dumped some kind of Lamprey control in the river.  We haven’t had a fish hooked since. :-(

The boat dock is ready for boats,   should be a few Point Lookout Harbor reports soon.

long productive day

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

The weather was good today,  not to warm, not to cold,  and sunny.  I spent most of the day going from one long standing 45 minute job, to another.  Lot’s of little jobs, that have been waiting to be completed,  are now just a memory. :-)

It’s near time to get out to the range and do some shooting.

ABC News and Sam Donaldson

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

“The Second Amendment Foundation today sent a letter to ABC News President David Westin, asking that reporter Sam Donaldson be barred from ever again reporting on gun rights issues, because he is serving as master of ceremonies at a fund-raiser for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.” Nice effort, but I don’t think it’s going to change anything..”Donaldson is hosting the event May 15 in Washington, D.C. His appearance, said SAF founder Alan Gottlieb, reinforces the opinion of this nation’s gun owners that ABC and its reporters for the most part share an anti-gun philosophy. ”

.”Donaldson is hosting the event May 15 in Washington, D.C. His appearance, said SAF founder Alan Gottlieb, reinforces the opinion of this nation’s gun owners that ABC and its reporters for the most part share an anti-gun philosophy. “Ah,, that’s an affirmative!!!
“We believe that the appearance of such a high-profile ABC reporter and commentator as the host of an event that raises money for one of the nation’s most hysteria-driven gun control organizations is a terrible breach of propriety,” Gottlieb said.

“We believe that the appearance of such a high-profile ABC reporter and commentator as the host of an event that raises money for one of the nation’s most hysteria-driven gun control organizations is a terrible breach of propriety,” Gottlieb said.Again, affirmative.“Donaldson is actually out there in the spotlight,” he continued, “helping this anti-gun organization raise hundreds of thousands of dollars that will be used to trample our Second Amendment rights. It’s as bad as Dan Rather being the keynoter at a Democrat Party event in Texas a few years ago.”

“Donaldson is actually out there in the spotlight,” he continued, “helping this anti-gun organization raise hundreds of thousands of dollars that will be used to trample our Second Amendment rights. It’s as bad as Dan Rather being the keynoter at a Democrat Party event in Texas a few years ago.”Probably worse!“Any appearance of fairness that Donaldson may have had on the gun rights issue just went out the window,” Gottlieb observed. “As of now, Mr. Donaldson has zero credibility on any level that deals with firearms, and the same pretty much goes with ABC News as a news agency.”

“Any appearance of fairness that Donaldson may have had on the gun rights issue just went out the window,” Gottlieb observed. “As of now, Mr. Donaldson has zero credibility on any level that deals with firearms, and the same pretty much goes with ABC News as a news agency.”No news in that statement!
“Donaldson has no business hosting a fund raising event for a gun control organization, and ABC News has no business allowing it,” Gottlieb stated.

“Donaldson has no business hosting a fund raising event for a gun control organization, and ABC News has no business allowing it,” Gottlieb stated.Absolutely Affirmative! NO talking head on the TV screen, should be telling me how my Constitution given rights should be interpreted.~~>GreyBeard
