‘Now is Time for Deep Reflection, Not Dancing in Blood’ says SAF’

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Today’s email from the Second Ammendment Foundation:

“”BELLEVUE, WA – Today, as the nation is mourning Monday’s horrible loss at Virginia Tech, this should be a time of deep reflection and offering our prayers for the victims and their heartbroken families.

Sadly, noted Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, “some groups and individuals are using this terrible crime to further their own political cause: the continued erosion of firearm civil rights and the abolition of firearm ownership in the United States.  Almost from the moment the first news broke about this monstrous crime,” Gottlieb said, “we at SAF have been forced to respond to staccato attacks from gun control organizations whose goal is to destroy the Second Amendment.”"

It’s a horrible thing that there is such bias against the word of our Constitution and Bill of Rights.  For a long time now,  I’ve subscribed to the email version of the Scottish newspaper “The Scotsman”,  mainly just to see what things look like from the other side of the pond.  After browsing today’s highly bias’ed reporting,  I removed my name from their email list.  (see quote below)

“”A long line of bloodbaths

18 May, 1927: Bath, Michigan. Andrew Kehoe set off a series of bombs at the Bath Consolidated School, killing 45 and injuring 58.”"

Quoted from “the Scotman’s” article about the V.Tech massacre.    Interesting to note that this Kehoe character,  didn’t need a gun to complete his massacre!

I watched quite a bit of the continuous news coveragae of the massacre,  and waited patiently for someone to report how a non-citizen was able to purchase a handgun in the first place.  Finally late this afternoon, and answer:  It seems that by Virginia law,  ANYONE, with a legal Virginia driver’s license,  can purchase a handgun,  or two, or three, etc.

  • Where does the Constitution and B.O. Rights say that aliens,  legal or illegal,  are covered by our Constitution,  and protected by our bill of rights?
  • Why would ANYONE think that  a foreign national, should be able to purchase, bear, or posess a firearm within our borders?? (or any other weapon for that matter!)
  • Why didn’t the authorities have a watch on this whacko?  All the signs were there!
  • Why is it that only law abiding gun owners are harassed?

My condolences and sympathies go out to all the people who were touched by this tragety.  It’s shameful that these many victims who were denied the means to protect themselves,  were not protected by those in authority (who denied that right).

There has never been,,,,,,,,

*A true massacre, in which the victims were well armed.

*A tyrant or dictator,  who wished for all of his subjected people to be armed.

It’s a sad day at Virginia Tech..  Doc Russia say’s it well, with 33 dead.  Mr. Dutoit comes back with Much Safer .

Blood in the Streets????

Bay City Times,  Opinions Page,  April 10th, 2007 ,Cynthia Tucker.

“Cult of gun ownership continues, unabated.”

Cynthia is the editorial page editor at the Atlanta Constitution, and is reachable at, cynthia@ajc.com or in care of Universal Press, P.O. Box 419149, Kansas City, Mo. , 64141-9149

Cynthia’s opinion is typical,  guns and gun owners are evil!

Her opinion article is about 15 paragraphs long,  and contains at least 15 anti-gun lies and misinformations.

As a for instance:  She say’s “Gun assaults are rising, but you won’t hear this on the nightly news”  (I wonder which pro-gun network news she watches???  )

She goes on to say that “Republicans are wholely owned by the NRA”  and that “Democrats have been persuaded that gun safety is the suicide bomb of domestic politics,  mention gun saftey and your campaign explodes”.  (Could this be because polititions are supposedly there to SERVE THE PEOPLE,  and when they back stab the people,  the people get MAD??)

She states that “No other country on the planet, shares our fascination with guns”  Not Japan, not Great Britian, not India or France, China, or Malaysia”.  (Note,  many of these are not FREE COUNTRIES,  and the ones that purport to be free, have joined Canada and Australia,  in seeing massive rises in armed crime, AFTER THEY BANNED GUNS!!)

She even tries to defend New York Mayor Bloomberg’s illegal sting operations, ran outside his juristiction (and without warrant).

I often wish I was better at expressing myself verbally and in print,  but,  hell with that,  I’ll be writing to the Bay City Times to express my distaste with their Opinions pages,  and to Cynthia to express my thinly veiled disgust with her!

Click to the link to her article at the beginning of this post,  after reading it,  you might find that you’d like to have a few words with her too

Random Thoughts

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

First off, Jabu at Bad Bad JuJu . Thanks to Jim at Smoke on the Water.

Jabu pretty much cover’s most of my recent Random thoughts.  I can add:

O’bama and his call for Imus to be fired,  I’d like to see O’bama fired.

Imus,  a jerk to be sure,  but I have to question why he get’s singled out?  It’s not like every “Rapper” doesn’t make similar disrespectful and hurtful statements daily.  Michelle Malkin cover’s it very nicely with Imus vs. the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks Chart.

Michelle also does great coverage of the supposed Duke Rape case “No attack occurred“.
