Gone fishin’
Well at least we looked like we were fishing? At the very least I’ve determined that flooding the engine compartment didn’t ruin the starter on the boat.
We tried 32 ft of water, 36 ft of water, 38 ft of water, even out to the shipping channel in 40 ft of water. Then we came back in and tried again in 12 ft, 16ft, and 20ft. About 4 hours worth of bottom bouncing brought us not even one good bite! I suppose I’m going to have to get one of the old hands up here, to show me how to catch these Bay Walleye. (It seems that everyone else is limiting out!!!!)
We did get a good look at a nice 2 masted schooner, on it’s way down toward Bay City though. Tomorrow they’re talking about heat and maybe storms, so the fishing might go on hold for a couple of days.
