Sorry to busy to Blog :-)

I suppose it’s because we’re in the middle of our short Michigan summer,  but I’m just not in the house enough to get a blog post out very often.

I do have a couple of simmering comments though,

1: My two GM built trucks, the Silverado with 23,000 miles, and the Sonoma with 55,000 miles, are starting to nickel and dime me.  I believe this is due to the new corporate policy, of building machinery with planned life spans.  (short life spans at that!)    We have stupid breakdown like these:

  • breaking door handles (4 times) at $50 to $75 a pop
  • a stupid little unneeded switch (potentiometer) that when goes south, disables the entire truck.  $156
  • power window failure (Siverado) due to and incompetent design.  $250-$300
  • light bulbs?  $56 is the dealer replaces them!!
  • interior lights, dimmer switch, fries itself,  (no idea what is would cost to tear out the dash and replace that P.O.S..
  • Exhaust system on the Silverado,  replaced once under warranty (cost $900),  starts irritation harmonics again about 3 months after being replaced.
  • lever to fold seat forward (Sonoma) breaks off inside seat, (again no idea what kind of highway robbery they’ve concocted to repair this junky little peace of white metal)

2:  My normally trusted boat mechanic,  for some reason saw the need to install the drain plug in my SeaRay, when I had it readied for pickup.  I took me about a week to get around to putting it in the water,  (it rained a couple of times),,,  so,  I get about 24 inches of water trapped in the bilge of the boat.  WHO STORES A BOAT ON LAND, WITH THE DRAIN PLUG IN PLACE???  Mr. boat guy and I are going to have a little discussion about that one!

3: State of Politic’s in the US of A.   It’s starting to look like we’re in DEEP DOO DOO.  There doesn’t appear to be even one candidate ,  that would make a better President than Bozo the clown!!!

Ok,  the sun’s out,  and it’s warming up,  looks like another nice sunny day, (we really need some rain),  blogging time is over.  Hang in there,  join the NRA,  keep an eye on your neighbor and your so called public servants!!
