Tech Force 3x to 12x rifle scope

Ok,  the data is in;

The Tech Force 3 to 12x scope that comes on some Tech Force air rifles, is a piece of crap.    Veiwing my previous posts on the subject (of the rifle and the scope),  you’ll see that the Tech Force .22 caliber rifle I purchased was trouble from the beginning.

Long shooting sessions and lot’s of pellets, drew me to the conclusion that the rifle itself is somewhat accurate out to about 10 yards (it starts to vary considerable after that).  The Chinese made scope, branded Tech Force,  that came on the rifle turned out to be the major offender.

Using the scope I couldn’t get the rifle to print reliably even at ten yards,  so I pulled it off,  and sighted in the iron sights.  As stated with iron sights,  it shoots fair to middlin, out to about ten yards.  (kind of sad, considering the cost of the gun)

After pulling the scope off the air rifle,  I installed it on a known good shooting .22 caliber (cartridge) rifle,  a Ruger 10/22.   Today,  testing the gun/scope combination from a machine rest at 25 yards,  I could get the scope dead on for about two rounds,  then the point of impact would start moving around in relation to the point of aim,  opening up to about 6 or 7 inches after about 10 rounds.  Not Pretty, but pretty much the same behaviour as on the .22 air gun.

The dang thing is clear as a bell,  (it just won’t hold a point of aim)  it’s new home will be riding around in my truck,  (without a rifle),  I suppose it will make a pretty fair utility glass for when I want to get a closer look at something.

Moral of the story;  STAY AWAY from ANYTHING labeled TECH FORCE!!!!!!!!!!!
