NRA Highpower Game

I’ve just finished a 30 minute trial of the NRA Highpower game from ISE Games

“A true-to-life simulation of the super competitive world of high power competition, NRA High Power Competition provides valuable resources which teach the rules, procedures and safety of the sport.
Shoot highly detailed civilian versions of three military service rifles, as well as two custom high power match rifles.
The game includes sophisticated ballistics modeling and true-to-life reloading (hand loading) systems using the products of the shooting industry’s top suppliers.”

1st off,  don’t bother unless your familiar with the “High Power” competition.  The game tries to be very very true to the actual competition.  It reminds me somewhat of the game, (I forget the title) that the U.S. Army is pushing. (to build better soldiers)  The game seems to try just a little to hard to build you into a new High Power shooter.  The price is very reasonable at just under 10 bucks,  but at that price,  you kind of expect the rather dated graphics.  All the aspects of the competition are there,  from range time, to reloading, to windage, and using your winnings to build a better rifle.  It’s just a little to regimented for this old shooter.  They also put out one called “Varmit Hunter”,  I just might try that Demo next.

FOLLOW UP:

I tried downloading “Varmit Hunter”,  but unlike the “NRA Highpower” game,  “Varmit Hunter” triggered my AVG Malware Detector.  Rather than take a chance,  “Varmit Hunter” got shot.  :-)
