TF-99 continuing story

Today,  18 formal rounds,  three different pellets,  three different targets.  All at 25ft.

The Beeman Match Wadcutters had the best showing.  The 6 rd. group about 1.25 inch tall and .5 inch wide.

The Daisy Precision Match Flat Nose,  1.75 in. tall,  1 in. wide.

The Crossman 625 Domed,  1.75 in. tall,  1 in. wide.  These also shot about two inches high,  and threw one stringer, about 2 inches from the rest of the group.

Moving out to 100 ft with mixed Beeman and Daisy pellets,  the pattern opened up to 4 inches high and 2 in. wide,  with 2 wild stringers out of 14 shots.

All shooting was done without a rest from the kneeling position.  As recommended by the Compasseco Tech..  (no benchrest)

Todays conclusion:  I can see the difference the match grade pellets make.  But I’m still not nearly satisfied.  I can also see that my technique is a part of the problem.  These spring air guns are a pain to learn to shoot.  Bottom line,  at 100 feet,  I can fire my 6 inch barreled S&W K-22 (double action),  and shoot tighter groups than these!!!!!  Single action,  the K-22 will blow these groups out of the water!  But, at least,  if I watch my technique,  I can keep them in the 10 ring.  (better than previous shooting sessions)  I suppose it’s still a “work in progress”.  :-|
