Sheridan fun

I was happily going though my day’s thinking this beauty was mine, until my son reminded me that I bought it for him, some twenty odd years ago. It’s a Sheridan Sliver Streak in 5.5mm. Walnut Stocked, with a satin chrome finish, and it’s a shooter!
Think 1 inch groups at 35 yard. Seven pumps and one Sheridan cylindrical lead air pellet, spells one dead varmint!
Hmmm, what to replace it with? I’m thinking a single pump, high velocity 5mm, with a lightweight night scope.
Then on to things less gratifying;

In the above photo, notice that water stain directly below the second floor shower drain pipe. Directly above the first floor kitchen.
A quick call to Len at Frame to Finish Carpentry in Augres, got me a visit by Len, with a cordless skill saw and a good flashlight. After cutting an access hole in the bathroom floor, and accessing the cituation, Len laid out a plan to try to prevent having to tear out the kitchen ceiling. (I took this photo, by sticking the camera down the access hole, and clicking the shutter.)
I followed Len’s advice, and we’re now waiting for everyting to dry, so we can test for further leaks. (fingers crossed) If it still leaks, it looks like it’s going to be time to call the Insurance company and rip out the kitchen ceiling. ![]()
If it’s still dry after 24 hours, I’ll haf’ta buy Len a beer.
