Call of Duty, Mission complete

Well,  it cost me 25 points on my blood pressure yesterday afternoon,  but I can now state that I have completed all missions in Call of Duty Reflex Edition for the Wii.   Arcade mode is opened.

Wii discoveries

Fast becoming a  member of the ”older” generation,  I have to watch my blood pressure.   The last week or so I’ve been struggling with it a bit.  It’s been up about 20 to 25 numbers.    No changes in medication,  so I have to look at other factors.    I feel that I’ve been slipping a bit on my salt intake,  so that’s an easy (but unpalatable) fix.

The other night I opened a bottle of Merlow,   after one glass, my pressure had dropped 10 points,   after half a bottle,  it had risen 5 points past the original pressure.  Conclusion:  Don’t drink to much alcohol.

The other suspected issue was the Wii.   I’ve been using the Wii Fit system a little over a month,  and my pressure as been up,  just slightly less time than that,  so, I’ve been doing a few tests with it also.   I’ve learned that a good hard workout using the exercise bike and the Wii Fit,  does an excellent job of lowering my blood pressure.  (after I cool down) Unfortunatley,  an hour or so of playing “Call of Duty”,  runs it up 10 to 25 points.   Interesting,  and just about as unpalatable as throwing away the salt!

The price for this “grey beard” get’s a little higher everyday.

Barack say’s “Who needs fish”

From Josh Hodge,

“Attorney General Mike Cox filed a federal lawsuit on December 6, trying to force the Army Corps of Engineers and the city of Chicago to close the locks in the Chicago Sanitary and Ship canal. DNA from Asian Carp was found beyond the electric barrier in the canal, which has alarmed many enviromental groups, and suggeststhat the carp may be infecting the Great Lakes. The carp could serverely impact the Great Lakes by consuming large amounts of food that local species rely heavily on for survival. This would affect the  fishing industry in Michigan. The fishing industry brings in $7 billion  annually to the state.
Barack Obama made it clear that he would be supporting Illinois in this matter and asked the Supreme Court not to close the locks in Chicago.
Tuesday January 19, the Supreme Court refused to close the shipping locks near Chicago.”

CCCCold!

It’s been cold.   I’ve spent my time ducking the freezing temps outside.  Exercising on the Wii and the stationary bike,  watching a bit of TV,  and a few movies.   I recommend “UP”  and  to a lesser extent “Night at the Museum Two”.  I’m also a little bit fond of the new Fox series “Human Target”.   We watched a marathon night of “24″ ,   the first three nights recorded (5 hrs).   As expected there are just a few to many politcal overtones.     I’ve also been watching a bit of the new “Planet Earth” series.  It’s pretty interesting,  but somehow seems to be mostly a rehash of the original Planet Earth.

I’ve just finished cleaning the paperwork off my desk,  and I’m thinking it’s time to get a little target practice at the Fox Agent Training website , then off to fire up the Wii for a round of “Call of Duty”.
