Today I was reading an good article about the Savage model 110 BA in .338 Lapua Mag. This sounds like the long range highly accurate arm that I would love to have in my safe. The price was a little stiff, but I figured if I was downsizing, I could sell off a couple of guns and break near even. Over 5000 ft-lbs of energy, range out to 1000 yards, kicks like a .308 and shooting 3 inch groups at 300 yards out of the box. Sounds great, until I got to the final paragraph of the article. .338 Lapua Mag. ammo, box of twenty rounds, ONE HUNDRED, TWENTY DOLLARS! (at Midway) And I was complaining about my .300 SAUM being $50 a box.
Oh well,
, (sigh)
