William’s Gun Sight

Just back, from a few days offline.   A trip south to Davison.   While down there attending to other business,  I stopped in at William’s Gun Sight Co. .     Don’t let the name fool you,  they have a LOT of guns and shooting paraphernailia.   It’s an interesting time just strolling up and down the racks of long guns,  and glass cases of handguns.   If you’re actually interested in purchasing a gun,   you might have to wait a little while.   I won’t say that the counter workers are slow,  but maybe there could be a few more of them or something.  There’s also an adjacent L.E.O. supply store,  and a nice set of shooting ranges.  I’ve been halfway in the market for a couple of new guns,  but not interested enough to stand at the counter waiting for 20 minutes or more.   I saw an older 20 gauge Stevens double barrell that kind of caught my eye,  but the price was a little stiff.  And of course there were a handfull of the dozens of 45’s that I lusted after.  Notably a Sig,  and a Kimber,  oh yeah,  and that tricked out, stainless, long slide 1911 Colt!  (I just can’t seem to get used to the fact that if -I- want to sell mine,  it’s worth about 50 percent less than if I want to buy it.)

I’d like to consolidate and downsize a bit,  but I have a few problems with that plan.  I’ll have trouble parting with most of my Dad’s guns,  and the ones I grew up with.   I probably could manage to trade off a shotgun or two,  and maybe my  Remington .300 S.A.U.M. but the problem is,  I’d like to add at least one more carry gun,  a light 20 gauge double gun,  and possibly a tactical style .308 bolt gun,  oh yeah,  and another DPMS in .223.     It just seems like, if I start selling off and buying guns,  I’ll probably wind up with more than I already have?  What happened to consolidating and downsizing?  Anddddd,  there’s that 26 inch barrelled 12 gauge auto with screw in chokes……….

Down Size, Down Size, Down Size!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
