For the past few days I’ve been having problems getting to a lot of different web pages. Originally I thought it was a problem with Charters DNS service, but changing DNS servers didn’t help anything.
I try to open a web page, and it hangs, usually about halfway through loading. Sometimes a refresh will complete the load, sometimes not. Kind of frustrating.
Tonight I tried firing up my old packet analyzer. (haven’t used that in a while)
What I’m seeing is a very large number of bad TCP checksums.
Anyone have any insight into what might be going on from that tidbit of info?

Think “Lord of the Rings” prequel. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
The Beretta A400 XPLOR Unico. Guns and Ammo gave it a great write up. It sounds like the all around 12 gauge auto I’ve been thinking about. Actually I never thought I’d be interested in a Beretta shotgun, but, this one sounds real nice, unfortunately interested is probably as far as it will get, with a price tag of over $1600, it’s a little rich blooded for this old river rat.
Today I was reading an good article about the Savage model 110 BA in .338 Lapua Mag. This sounds like the long range highly accurate arm that I would love to have in my safe. The price was a little stiff, but I figured if I was downsizing, I could sell off a couple of guns and break near even. Over 5000 ft-lbs of energy, range out to 1000 yards, kicks like a .308 and shooting 3 inch groups at 300 yards out of the box. Sounds great, until I got to the final paragraph of the article. .338 Lapua Mag. ammo, box of twenty rounds, ONE HUNDRED, TWENTY DOLLARS! (at Midway) And I was complaining about my .300 SAUM being $50 a box.
Oh well,
, (sigh)
