A corporate head being forced out by the President of the United States, is sick enough, but then we have the media’s disgusting play on poor Mr. Wagoner. Let’s see, would -you- rather be the CEO of a company that our government say’s has no future, OR the retired CEO of the same company, before the government forces it under, complete with your 23 million dollar PLUS, retirement package. (You can fool some of the people some of the time,,,,,,,,,, ). And right about now, Wagoner is shopping for a new home on a Tropical Paridise Island. Oh yeah, and the reason that Rick still get’s his 23 MILLION DOLLARS is, IT WAS IN HIS CONTRACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My email backed up pretty heavily. After sorting through the junk and the business, I found a couple of pretty good little jewels that had been forwarded to me. They tend to be a little long, and you may have already seen them, but starting tonight, I’m going to post them. If you’ve seen them just pass them by, if not, they’re definately worth a read.,,,,,,,,,,,,
“”545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then
campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are
against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and
high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does.
You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations.
The House of Representatives does.
You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred Senators, 435 Congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court
justices , 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally,
morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague
this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was
created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty
to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central
bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They
have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a
congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they
offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to
accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the
legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what
they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of
party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount
of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood
up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only
propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole
responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving
appropriations and taxes.
Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the
majority party. She and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any
budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto
if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace
545 people who stand convicted – by present facts — of incompetence and
irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable
directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545
people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that
what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red .
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it’s because they want them in IRAQ .
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan
not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire
and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can
reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom
they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief
that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,”
“inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their
bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees,
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Thank You Mr. Reese, and to follow, a little dark humor.
“”I became confused when I heard the word ’service’ used with these agencies.
Internal Revenue ‘Service’
U.S. Postal ‘Service’
Telephone ‘Service’
Cable TV ‘Service’
Civil ‘Service’
State, City, County & Public ‘Service’
Customer ‘Service’
This is not what I thought ’service’ meant.
But today, I overheard two farmers talking,
and one of them said he had hired a bull to
’service’ a few cows.
BAM!!! It all came into focus.
Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.
And now you are enlightened along with the rest of us.”"
Finally: A LITTLE GUN Control HISTORY
“”In 1929, the Soviet Union established
gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to =
defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.=20
In 1911, Turkey established gun control.
From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves,
were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938
and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were
unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935.
From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend
themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Guatemala established gun control in
1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend
themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970.
From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were
rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in
1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend
themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and
exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
It has now been 12 months since gun
owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal
firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing
Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year
results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and
criminals still possess their guns! While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we are ’subjects’.
During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.
The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN! SWITZERLAND ‘S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE. SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!
IT’S A NO BRAINER! DON’T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.
I’m a firm believer of the 2nd Amendment! If you are too, please forward.”"

How long before our present government starts -us- down this sorrowful road!
For about a week now. Gone South, Welcoming a new Grandson into the world.
On a side note, while in that much more populated land to the south, I stopped into a major gun store to poke around for treasures. I found nothing that I felt I had to carry home, but did hear some less than encouraging words about the two new Ruger handguns I’ve been thinking about lately. (see previous post) While neither were available, the salesman said that both were being recalled, and that a couple of other of Ruger’s releases were still being randomly recalled. Not the kind of news I want to hear about a carry gun.
UPDATE on the other nights “mini-report”.
I said there was “no ice floating ice visable from the mouth of the river”. Well, today there was a LOT of ice visable from the mouth of the river!!! It was all starting at about 1.5 to 2 miles out, and there was a lot of it! There are warnings out about it moving around and possibly closing off the mouths of access points, like the Au Gres River. That said, there were a LOT of boats in the water today. All staying pretty close to shore, and some running in pretty shallow water, mostly they looked to be trolling. I’m guessing the fish are there, if you can stand the weather, and dodge the ice.
The fever is starting, I just sent out an order to my friend Jack at JLV LURES . It seems Jack has a sale on, getting ready for some new product. My order included (8) trolling/casting lures, with excellent quality and pro quality hardware, for around $14 including shipping to my doorstep. Thanks Jack!
