It appears that someone reposted my Oct. 1st article, (written before I moved into “condition black”) I had noticed the link back to African Press International , but hadn’t check it out until today. Seems there were a couple of weirdo’s who really took offense to that article, though no offense was intended. It was written in more of a questioning tone, and I believe that the article I linked to, actually tended to support Obama on this issue. Below are two comments that caught my attention, and my responses:
——
“The person who wrote this aticle is the most stupid ignorant i have ever heard of !
I wonder why you let people put bullshit of this kind into your site !”
Actually I didn’t know I was being posted on this site, (answers the question about why I was found there). From what I can glean from your comment, being called “stupid and ignorant” is probably a compliment coming from you.
“The writer of this article is the most racialist person who should not be allowed to travel all over the world. People are looking for peace in the world, and others like the writer of this article is still sleeping to be at his home because of his race. Do the writer of this message know that America has invited all races of people from the whole World to come and stay in America? Does he know that there are Americans Muslim here in the United States of America? And are they named Arabs or Americans Muslims? If you hate some one hate him or her for your own reasons, but not as the COUNTRY.”
I first ask, what I might have written to make you feel I’m a racist? Is it because I don’t care for OBAMA? I would be happy to vote for Clarence Thomas, or Condi Rice, if either of them would consent to run. As for traveling all over the world,, NOT LIKELY! I’m very happy with my Freedom’s and anytime I travel those freedoms are diminished.
And yes the writer “do” know that our government has made entering the U.S.A. just a little to easy. About 90 percent of my ancestors came to the U.S. through Ellis Island, the other 10 percent were born here. It was bit harder to get in, back in those days though.
Do I know that there are American Muslims living in the U.S.?? If I have eye’s and ears, I could not help but know, we live amongst them.
And Finally “hate”. I don’t think I hate Obama, or any other person I don’t really know, but I am a bit afraid of them. If you took my reposting of other works as an indication that I dislike Arabic people or American Muslims, you must be reading something into the artcle that isn’t there.

I hope this is the end of this little jaunt to the wild side. Between being in no politics mode, (condition black), and my chest cold, I just don’t have time for this shit!
The better half and I are being robbed of what could be the last few really nice fall day’s, by a chest cold that we both came down with last Friday or Saturday. Not Fun at all.
Tippy’s Dam’s Salmon Camp 08 is history. Possibly the last T.D. Salmon Camp for this old pirate. I’m recovering from a year long knee problem, and it’s back to about 96 percent, so, there was no stair climbing or wading for me. The Younger generation had a great time tho, and we tended the fires while they were wallowing in the mud and fish guts. Next year, the next , next generation of Salmon fishermen, comes of school age, and changes will have to be made in the mid-October schedule. By the time this new gen. is old enough to take out of school for a couple days and handle a Salmon rod, I might be a permanent fire tender. (Hopefully I’ll at least be able to walk down the stairs and cheer them on)
For those who don’t know Tippy Dam in West Michigan, the campground is about a 1/3 mile walk from the Dam parking lot, then there are about 1/2 miles of slippery Salmon egg encrusted stairs down to the river on the down side of Tippy Dam. The trip down is not for the faint hearted, and the trip back up -can- be a nightmare if your not in fair shape, and a veritable pungi pit if rains wet the stairs. There’s also the 2 or 3 mile of stretch of river that you need to walk to and from , to find a spot to fish.
Next Salmon Camp 09 if it turns out, will revert to the young fathers, who, began this tradition, long before entering marriage and starting families. The conditions without women, (and rug rats) will change considerably. The camp ground will change back to a mud flat somewhere on the river. No electricty, beer cooled only by the night air, little breakfast, and dinners at the local bar. You know, when I think about how much fun that’s going to be, I don’t mind being a little older and having an excuse to bow out gracefully.
As for Walleye,,,,, I’m still itching for one more good run. the new GPS is installed, and the boat is loaded for trolling.
P.S. speaking of Walleye, one of the Salmon Fishermen in Camp brought enough Walleye to feed everyone on a one night fish fry. Deep Fried Walleye, Northern Pike, Potatoes, and Pickles, what a meal!
Well, it looks like things are a changin’ since Rapala bought out Lure Jensen. I just checked out the link to Lure Jensen on my bog links. The history page at Luhr Jensen is gone, but going to http://www.luhrjensen.com brings up a request for your email, so they can notify you when the new site comes up. I hope the new owners pay respects to the original founder/owners.
Ok, and I’m off politic’s right? But, I just did some ammo shopping, and here’s the bad news:
.308 Federal Premium $39.99 (two bucks a pop)
30-30 Fusion $19.79 (one buck a pop)
.35 Remington Powershock $23.99
.270 Federal Premium $43.99
.300 SAUM Rem. Premium $52.99 (two fifty a pop)
Considering that these are 20 round boxes, It’s looking like the anti-gun crowd has won one of their first big battles. Who can afford to enjoy shooting at these prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m going to try to bow out of the political blogging. I never enjoyed it anyway, and I don’t believe it really does a lot of good. Anyone who can read my past 3 posts and not at least question their commitment to NoBama,,,, well, there’s just no hope for them, and possibly no hope for any of us. It’s time for me to harden the ramparts, protect what’s left of my Freedom, try to keep a low profile, and pray for a good outcome.
