Found!, low cost crankbaits. Check out, JLV LURES ! This is a photo of a sample of the JLV Lures products, two dollars, fortynine cents! Note: Stainless hardware, and red VMC hooks! A Product report will be posted when my shipment arrives, and fishing reports will be posted when the ICE is out.
This is specifically aimed at those paying 40 dollars for 5 Hot-n-Tot’s, or 21 dollars for 5 USED Rock Crawlers.
Today, I made purchases at two local stores.
Store One: New in Box, 4 FireTiger Luhr Jensen Rock Walkers, 10 bucks
Store Two: New in Box, 6 Storm Hot-N-Tots, 2 Storm Thundersticks, and 2 Storm ThunderCranks, all, for a measley 12 bucks.
It appears that dealers in the Point Lookout area, don’t really care that Rapala bought Storm and Luhr Jensen. All they know is the lures are on closeout and the price is right.

We watched the DVD of “Beowulf” last night, the 2007 rendition directed by Robert Zemeckis.
I was a little shocked to learn that the entire movie was done in CG (computer graphics). After getting used to that fact, it was a thoroughly enjoying romp. Watching “the making of”, after the movie, I was stunned to see the actual actor who played Beowulf. (Yep, he looked about as much like the movie’s Beowulf, as did the actor who played Gollum in “Lord of the Rings”. Ray Winstone/Beowulf, was chosen for his voice and ability to project his character’s feelings into the on screen character. Ray is a rather ordinary looking man, slightly pudgy, with short grey hair!
The actors all had to play their parts, loaded down with computer sensors, then the computer’s painted in the charactors using the movement of the actual actors. All in all, it turned out pretty interesting. Those reviewer’s who said it reminded them of Shrek, come away as seeming very narrow minded, IMHO. And to those who complained that it ventured away from the original poem, IT’S A MOVIE, ENTERTAINMENT, ya know?
I have heard that it looks absolutely fabulous on IMAX and in 3D, but of course we missed out on that part of it by watching the DVD. I’d give it 3 to 4 stars. 3.5 for entertainment, 4 for effort.

My latest opinion of EBAY is, they are still cheating! I tried a few bids before they banned guns, and was very unhappy with the results. When they banned guns, I promptly deleted my account. A week or so ago, in a moment of weakness, while wishing for new fishing lures for spring, I created a new Ebay account and have been running bids on various fishing lures. All I can say is, IF THESE AUCTIONS AREN’T RIGGED, THEN EBAY HAS A REAL PROBLEM WITH THE TECHNOLOGY THEY’RE USING TO RUN THE AUCTIONS. Not to mention some of the bidder’s I’m running into, live somewhere way outside of reality. Items auctioning close to double what they can be purchased for, are not uncommon!
There are NO happy Ebay customers on this end of the cable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn’t have time to look into this, but I did read a good opinion on it.
And along a somewhat different line, I read in the Bay City Times, that Congress is investigating the CDC, for it’s failure to investigate known pollution in the Great Lakes.
