I haven’t documented the following email that I recieved yesterday, but, somehow, I just believe it.
Interesting Information for People Who Live In Michigan
“After doing a little research I have discovered.
1. Gov Granholm is the 3rd highest paid Gov in the country at $177,000 in salary. This does not count her $60,000 expense account. Only the Gov of New York and Calf make more than her!
2. Gov Granholm’s husband has 3 assistants paid by the state. The highest paid assistant makes $117,000 a year.
3. Our state Congressmen and Senators are the 2nd highest paid at $79,650 in salary.&nb sp; This does not count their $20,000 expense account. Only California legistalatures make more.
4. Our teachers are the 3rd highest paid teachers in the country
5. Our cigarette tax is the 4th highest in the country
6. Our Corporate Income Tax rate is the 7th highest.
Funny how we don’t have enough money to pay our bills and the only answer is for us to pay more in taxes, when our public servants are getting fat on our sweat! Pass it on!”
I don’t have much to write tonight, other than a mega-pox on the spammers that keep digging out my old posts (that I mistakenly allow Pings on)
It at least gives me something to do (delete them) when I don’t have anything to write.

It’s seems a little sad in a way, winter closing in and all. Both of the boats are out of the water, and if the weather co-operates, the dock will be coming out Saturday. It’s been overcast most of the week, and nothing above 42 degree’s, coupled with a lot of wind. I bought some new fishing gear yesterday, to round out my Walleye gear but, I just packed it away until spring.
Anyway, I now have 4 perfectly matched Walleye rods. Storm Graphite 8 footers, with Okuma counter reels, and 17 lb Sensor line. Hopefully there’ll be enough water to hold the Walleye next summer! (Not to mention, enough water under the ice, for ice fishing this winter)
I passed up on a $600 life membership to the NRA today. $600 is a lot of cash when you’re on a fixed income. I figure if I manage to live another 30 years, NRA membership is only going to cost me $900. ($30 a year)
That said, if you’re a bit younger and have the cash, the Life membership is a good deal, both for you and the NRA, but also for the future of our Freedom.

IMPRIMIS, ([Latin]: in the first place) a free publication from Hillsdale College with over 1,500,000 readers monthly.
This month was, “A conversation with Justice Clarence Thomas”. This conversation opened -my- eyes, to a great American!!
Quote: “I don’t hire women law clerks, I hire the best last clerks, if they happen to be female, so be it”
Quote: ”(on Blacks) There are good ones and there are bad ones. (on Whites) There are good ones and there are bad ones. The difference being, good and bad.”
Quote: “I’ve learn this, you can’t choose right and wrong, you’ve got to choose BETWEEN right and wrong.”
Quote: “You’ve got to keep in mind, that the Bill of Rights, was an Afterthought”. “The rights in the Bill of Rights, were originally assumed as NATURAL rights, and some people at the time, thought that writing them into the Constitution was REDUNDANT. ” (emphasis inserted by G.B.)
Judge Thomas, a fine example of what a Supreme Court Justice should be. Go to http://www.hillsdale.edu/, if you would like to receive free monthly copies of IMPRIMIS. Some months are much better than others, but lately they’ve been hot.

Well, I had a nice post going about taking the Alaskan out of the river today (Alaskan=17ft fishing boat). But, while reseaching in another browser window, I accidently opened a PDF file within my Browser. For what ever reason, when ever that happens, when I close or switch away from the PDF, it crashes my browser.
So, I’m not writing it again,,,, The Alaskan is out of the water, boating season is over for this year, the water is still REALLY low, a few Salmon and Trout are biting in the river, and I’m going shooting tomorrow.
