Thanks to Geekwitha45, I’ll not be adding
“The Bee Movie” to my Netflix Que.
And, on the subject of Netflix movies,
“Mr. Brooks” joins “Zodiac” with my list of movies that have wasted 2 or more hours of my time. (I actually only currently have 3 on that list, including “Open Season”.) “Bee Movie” will not likely get the chance to waste my time.

Ordered:
Simmons Master Series AETEC, 2.8-10 x 44 rifle scope 159 bucks from Natchez.
Simmons Master Series Hunter, 4-12 x 40 rifle scope ! 36 bucks from Sportsmans Guide.
The AETEC will likely go on my DPMS LR-308, and the Hunter model has yet to find a home, I’ll have to see it’s quality first (for 36 bucks).
Since tomorrow is Ammo Day, I guess I’ll have to run uptown and buy a few boxes.
Thanks to Blogonomicon for this cool slide show!! Turn your speakers on, sit back and steam a bit.
P.S. bumper sticker on pickup truck:
Trust the Government?? Ask an Indian.
“The Nowell Codex is a manuscript of old Britannia dating from the first millennium A.D. — before the Norman invasion and conquest of England in 1066.
This manuscript contains several pieces: a telling of the life of Saint Christopher; a description of foreign lands and even more foreign animals; a copy of a letter from Alexander to Aristotle; and a poetic translation of the Book of Judith.
What makes it famous is an untitled epic poem from the 8th century which tells the story of a Geatish hero and his slaying of a monster, the mother of the monster and a dragon.
This epic saga is, of course, the story of Beowulf.”
The above from LawDog. I too feel that I will likely have to see this movie, even though I’ve already seen 3 movies based on Beowulf and Grendal this year.

This in from CCRKBA this morning.
“Monday, November 19th is National Ammo Day, described as a BUYcott of ammunition. The goal of National Ammo Day is to empty the ammunition from the shelves of your local gun store, sporting goods, or hardware store and put that ammunition in the hands of law-abiding citizens.
According to the National Ammo Day website, each law-abiding supporter of the right to keep and bear arms is encouraged to buy 100 rounds of their favorite ammunition. Supporters are exhorted to “Make your support of the Second Amendment known–by voting with your dollars!””
I’ve been building up to purchase a nicer scope for my DPMS. Specifically, a Simmons Master Series AETEC 2.8-10 x 44. (The current offer even includes a free folding knife with purchase.) I suppose I can bump up my purchase date to the 19th, (and add a couple of boxes of ammo ).
