Let’s just outlaw ALL guns,,,,,

Yeah,

“on the grounds that ‘if it saves just one life, it’s worth it”

How many times have you heard an anti-gunner pull up that old piece of rubbish?

Just think how many lives could be saved using that logic!!!

Let’s outlaw;  wheeled vehicles, flyiing, religion, gymnastics, cheerleading, baseball, football, swimming, public debate, fossil fuels, tobacco, alcohol, ladders,  THE SUN, etc, etc..,

Oh well,  I think you get my drift.

The National Safety Council Says,,,,,

Thanks to Blogonomicon for this one:

“”The National Safety Council has released new data that demonstrates that accidental firearms fatalities continue to remain at the lowest levels since the NSC began record keeping. In fact, over the last decade, fatalities have dropped 40 percent, from 1,225 in 1995 to 730 in 2005.

There were key findings that say you’re less likely to be injured by a firearm than you are by a motor vehicle, poison, falls, choking, flames (and smoke), drowning, suffocation, natural heat and cold, or being struck by or against an object.

In fact, if hazardous activities were outlawed on a statistical basis, cheerleading equipment would be more likely to be outlawed than firearms – or footballs. Cheerleading, due to the new emphasis on gymnastics and increasingly more dangerous stunts, has claimed the number one position in traumatic injuries in high school and college sports. “”

Hey,  the NSC said it,  not me.  :-)

Gas Taxes and more, ARE THEY NUTS (yes!)

Michigan lawmakers are considering a bill to raise the gasoline tax by 9 cents per gallon,  AND raise vehicle registration fee’s by an intitial 50 percent with further raises for inflation.

Lead by Jennie Granhold,  the legislature is leaning strongly toward passing this outrage on the Michigan people.  What is wrong with these people?  Does the word RECALL come to mind,  (or TAR AND FEATHER, then run out of town on a rail?)

I really think that what Jennie has in mind is to run all the low income people,  and retiree’s out the the State of Michigan.  For those who haven’t had a raise in years,  or are currently working for pauper’s wages,   (likely a majority in the current depressed State of Michigan) ,  increases like these:

*Raising gasoline taxes  *Raising vehicle registration costs *Raising property taxes *Raising City Water bills  *Raising recreational fee’s (hunting, fishing, and camping permits) *Cutting, or eliminating health benefits  *Cutting pensions *Raising Tuition fee’s,  ETC, ETC.

Weigh most heavily on those with limited or fixed income.  Today’s polititions do not seem to understand or more likely don’t seem to care,  that this is the cold hard truth.

Power companies continue to jab to the stomach by upping fee’s.    Cable and Satelitte companies bite at the neck and continue to suck the blood of the newly addicted.  Telephone companies vie for new and more efficient way’s to suck in the all mighty dollar.  Lawyer’s tempt the unknowing to sue those who try to help them and those who legally defend themselves.    And all the while,  our government supports the vampire like local governments and corporations.  Something has to give sooner or later!  If Jennie suckseeds in driving us all out or her nice little rich Liberal dream,  WHO’s GOING TO PAY THE BILLS?

To make a long story SHORT:

NO To HIGHER GAS TAXES

NO TO HIGHER GAS PRICES

NO TO A SERVICES TAX

NO! NO! NO! NO!

And if you don’t understand “NO!”,  the definition is:

1. (a negative used to express dissent, denial, or refusal, as in response to a question or request)

2. (used to emphasize or introduce a negative statement): Not a single person came to the party, no, not a one.

3. not in any degree or manner; not at all

P.S.  When I searched for an image to go with the term “Slimeball”,  (for the previous post) the first image that came up was a picture of Miky Moore.  :-)

For the time being,  it looks like I’ll have to disable comments to my posts.  The Slimeball Spammers have really been hammering my comments section,  and it’s just getting to be a pain to delete them all, (a couple of times a day).  Feel free to email me with your comments,  and if they’re relative to the post,  I’ll manually put them in.

Thanks for your patience,

Ahhh, Dunkel

Check out Atwater Block Brewery.    I ran across a 6 pack of Atwater Dunkel today,  and had one for lunch.  Not bad at all!  I’ll have further information about it, after a few more,  but these guy’s on the Detroit River,  know how to brew German style beer.  (I just hope they don’t get their water from the River!)  :-)

P.S. “Dunkel” is German for “Dark Lager”.
