This thought crossed my mind this morning, (now that’s a scary idea) while listening a little bit of Pres. Bush’s morning press conference.
Why is the Kennedy family so often referred to as America’s Royalty, while that type of reference is never made about the Bush family?
Bush = Rich, money coming from OIL
Kennedy = Rich, money coming from Mob activities
Kennedy = polititions, John, Robert, ,, Ted the dred
Bush = polititons, George, George Jr, Jeb
Kennedy = 1 great First Lady
Bush = 2 great First Ladies
Ok, I understand that a lot of people don’t like George Jr, but a lot of people don’t like Ted either. Myself, I understand and am very thankful that the USA doesn’t have OR condon royalty. I’m just wondering why the press core would paint the Kennedy’s as royalty, while marking the Bush’s off as Cowboys. (I’ll take a Cowboy over a Prince, any day)
I supposed I can mark it up as just another biased brush stroke of the popular press.

The weather bouy’s have been pulled for the season, so I don’t know the water temperature, but the air is warm.
The river is still pretty high, (comparably), and the day time temps over the last few day’s have been around 50 degree’s. A couple of hours of river bank fishing, produced no bites. I’m guessing the water is a bit muddy for perch.
Everyone is starting to ponder, whether we’ll get snow for Christmas.

Today in 1871 James Naismith, a Canadian of Scottish parents, invented basketball, though in a slightly different form to that we know today, with no dribbling.
High of 51 degree’s today, wet and rainy. The river is running very high, and some good sized logs and limbs are running by.
I’ve heard second hand news about a problem with bait minnows coming from the Bay. It seems that the DNR is checking minnowing operations and possibly considering shutting them down. (I have no confirmation of this)
EASC NEWS: The Eastern Arenac Sportsmans Club, is purchasing three “Lead Sleds” to be made available to shooters at next years “Sight in Days”. The club is also filing a joint letter protesting the proposed doubling of hunting and fishing license fees.

“The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms today offered its congratulations to the Ohio State Senate for overriding anti-gun Gov. Bob Taft’s veto of concealed carry reform legislation, by a vote of 21-12.”
Quote from the Law:
—————–
“The individual right to keep and bear arms, being a fundamental individual right that predates the United States Constitution and Ohio Constitution, and being a constitutionally protected right in every part of Ohio…”

Congratulations Ohio!
