At 10am, it’s 38 degree’s and mostly sunny, with very little wind. The fishing on the AuGres River is picking up.
The river is packed with small minnows, which in turn are drawing in the Walleye, Pike, and a few Trout. The Perch were spotty yesterday, but it looks like Walleye are the predominate fish right now. Nothing huge, but enough keepers that we had a nice Walleye dinner for 4 last night, (washed down with a 2002 Raftshol Chardonnay), and froze half a dozen Perch for the next Perch fry.
