Working under a clickish, no account, air-headed, technology illiterate, upper management for the past few months has really got me to lookin’ around.
Bachelors Degree desired
Experience in troubleshooting Mac and Windows in large networked environments; demonstrated ability to upgrade, troubleshoot and repair workstation problems, both hardware and software; experience using enterprise tools such as ghost, vnc, and deepfreeze
Requires customer and team oriented personality
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
I don’t have a Bach. Degree, but -have- had many employee’s with Degree’s and Cert’s, who couldn’t built or repair a networked PC to save their lives.
I wouldn’t allow a MAC on my network.
I BUILD large networked environments.
At one point I was part of a two man team, who built and maintained a network of over 1000 pc’s and 9 servers, for two years. (two people)
Ghost, VNC, DeepFreeze? EveryDay!
I’m fairly customer oriented, but it’s hard with STUPID people.
I don’t like teams, for the most part, beyond 2 or 3 I feel that the more people envolved, the slower it goes.
Oral, and written skills? Well I type pretty fast, and can talk well enough when I want to, (I’ll leave the other “oral” skills to others).
I guess what gripes me is, these desk jocky’s they have running things. They have no idea how to tell a good tech, from a no brain tech. wanna be, so they get together a committee, and after hours and hours of B.S., come up with these little lists. List’s that ensure that a person like me isn’t even considered for the job posting.
I suppose this type of thing is responsible for a lot of the problems in the world today. Talking Heads, forming committee’s to make up rules, for REAL people to follow.
BTW, I don’t need job. ![]()
